About Us

Based in Yeovil, Somerset, Yarlington Housing Group is a local housing charity and one of the leading affordable housing providers in the south west with over 10,000 properties across Somerset, Devon and Dorset. We employ over 350 people in a diverse range of activities, including apprentices in both corporate and maintenance roles.

We have a commitment to enhance the lives of our residents and their neighbours, and provide communities in which people chose to live and work. With a proven track record in Development, Property Services and Property Management, we have demonstrated our ability to develop affordable, quality homes of varying tenures suitable for today’s tenants.

Our subsidary companies include, Inspired to Achieve and Yarlington Homes. Social enterprise, i2a was brought into the group in 2014 and has secured the social enterprise mark. They work to help residents to secure employment, education and volunteering opportunities (www.inspiredtoachieve.co.uk). Yarlington Homes is our commerical arm and
builds new properties, which are offered for sale on the open market, under our shared ownership scheme. This gives help to first time buyers or those who have difficulty making the initial step onto the property ladder. Selected properties are also offered for outright sale (www.yarlingtonhomes.co.uk).

We are a Times Top 100 organisation, have achieved Investors In People Gold Standard, and have previously won the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Most Improved Housing award (2012 and 2013).

We are committed, through our diverse and talented workforce, to a fairer society, giving everyone the opportunity to fulfil their potential, participate fully in the economic and social life of the community and access the services they need.

In June 2016 we re-launched our Yarlington values which were established and formed in collaboration with staff via 'The Voice' (Yarlington's Employee Forum). These values are incorporated into our everyday work and each staff member strives to deliver these in their role.
