Yarlington ranked #12 in Sunday Times 100 Best Companies
February 23, 2017
Yarlington Housing Group is delighted to be announced as #12 in The Sunday Time’s 100 Organisations to Work For, following last night’s award ceremony in London.
The ranking is an incredible achievement for the Yeovil-based housing group, jumping a massive 31 places since its #43 ranking in 2014.
The Sunday Times’ list is created from collated anonymous employee engagement surveys that are distributed randomly. The surveys are based on 8 equally weighted factors from leadership and management to personal wellbeing and charitable efforts. Using a scale, this ensures that the ranking is created based on real data not opinions.
Gary Orr, Yarlington’s Chief Executive, said:
“We were delighted to have been included in the Times Top 100 best companies list, but to be ranked so highly is fantastic! It really is a testament to our dedicated Board, leadership team and colleagues, as a whole, who make working at Yarlington such a pleasure.”
The recent ranking comes during a time of positive change for the company, as a new Chair of the Board is announced and the company embarks on a new corporate strategy – Yarlington Next-Gen – which will see a fundamental step change in the way it works. Yarlington also plans to expand in to Bristol, and has committed to providing up to 1,500 new homes by 2021 to help tackle the South West’s housing crisis.
The awards on Wednesday 22nd February also saw other South West not-for-profit housing organisation, Curo, pick up their first award, ranking #27.
A full list of all 2017 Sunday Times 100 Best Organisations will be published on the Sunday Times’ website on Sunday 26th February 2017.
